Pre-Sales are what guarantee regional events

Hello Regional SA Music Lovers!

The last 12 months sure had a lot of ups and downs...rona, rain (and more rain)... here's hoping 2023 is weather perfect and we are looking forward to bringing some great Australian artists... some big names but also some local and up and coming acts you may not have heard of, but know you will fall in love with them as we have!

On a serious note, we saw a number of events in 2022 postponed due to lack of pre-sales.  Sadly we had to postpone 500 Miles of Music for this very reason.

Generally, regional events still have all the same costs as city events, but with smaller attendance numbers, like you we enjoy the, regional  atmosphere, plenty of room to sit with family and friends without being jammed in.  So while we know we have the smaller numbers, we still want to be able to bring live music to the country towns of South Australia.

So what is the true value of pre-sale tickets?

To us it’s:

  • Confirmation that the event can go ahead and you want it just as much as we do

  • A reassurance the event is financially viable (yes, there is people to pay)

  • Knowing how many services we need to provide eg food trucks, toilets

  • Our volunteers knowing that they aren’t giving up their time with their families or normal work commitments for nothing

  • Our food vendors knowing they are going to not let food go to waste

  • Accommodation providers can allocate their rooms just to festival goers

Moral of the story… when you see an event you want to go to, please don’t leave it until the last minute… because without pre-sales event teams may just have to cancel… and that isn’t just them missing out on an income, it’s the marquee people, the sound crew, artists, vendors, bar staff, accommodation providers, local food premises, and so many more who miss out too… and ultimately you!

If you love regional events:

  • Make use of early bird tickets and save some dollars

  • Buy tickets online, at door prices are generally higher

  • If an event is postponed or cancelled be reassured that refunds are offered if you are unable to attend the new date

Without you these events (not just ours), but so many cool regional won’t happen… Support local and regional events by purchasing your tickets early.

We will also be sharing this message on social media, we would love your feedback… do you want to see events in regional South Australia?  Will you be pre-purchasing your tickets?

Thank you
John, Renee, and everyone involved and passionate about regional South Aussie events
